ENGINE is not re-inventing the wheel. The issue of energy efficiency in production of SMEs has been addressed repeatedly and continuously. However there is a lack of a structured overview of successful approaches and concepts, the identification of truly best practices and schemes as well as the differences and similarities between industries and regions.
