Intelligent Energy Europe

ENGINE at the Hanover fair

An international ENGINE workshop in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry will take place on April, 21st.

21-04-2009

By means of energy savings and energy efficiency measures, location disadvantages can be compensated as well as advantages in competition can be achieved, especially in economically difficult times. In this regard particularly the 23 million SMEs in the European Union are lacking knowledge and know-how. Against the background of experiences of five selected EU Member States the following subjects will be discussed:

  • Best practice examples as well as cross-sectoral comparison and performance figures
  • National support schemes
  • Successful energy efficiency measures and consulting as well as practical hints

The workshop is organised by the ENGINE consortium in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry & Commerce of Hanover. It will take place on Tuesday, 21st April just before the WORLD ENERGY DIALOGUE.

You can download the programme here.

The Hannover Messe is one of the leading industrial trade fairs with a special focus on energy and energy efficiency. In 2008 about 100,000 visitors came to this special exhibition, one third from abroad. The overall theme this year is Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes.
